"The next time you eat a cookie, sit and savor every bite so that you can feel satisfied ..."

Is there some way to keep my cookie habit and still lose weight?

Yes! First, look at your choice of cookies. For instance, you can eat eight vanilla wafers instead of four vanilla sandwich cookies and still save calories. Likewise, choosing a couple graham cracker squares instead of chocolate chip cookies can also save a substantial amount of fat and calories. Perhaps even more important than the kind of cookie is the number of cookies you eat. Many people who say they crave the taste of a cookie will devour five to ten of them while doing something else -- without really tasting any of them. The next time you eat a cookie, sit and savor every bite so that you can feel satisfied after just one or two. Choosing fat-free cookies may save fat but they often save no calories at all, especially if you eat more than you would of regular varieties. Regardless of what cookie you choose, the key to maintaining a healthy weight is not labeling foods good or bad but eating all foods with portion control.
