Eat Like A Kid!

When I was calculating my calories, fat grams, and protein intake the other day, I had a moment of clarity. "How did it ever come to this!" I thought. I'd been a very active, very skinny little girl. I never gave food much thought. I used to run wild in the streets of suburbia, climbing trees and playing football with the neighborhood boys. My parents literally had to capture me at mealtimes. Eating for me was like a hit and run accident. I would charge into the house, grab whatever I was hungry for, and then charge back outside. I wouldn't dream of eating anything I didn't like and I'd push my plate away as soon as I was full. Mom always saw to it that the kitchen was full of healthy foods that I liked and would eat.
